GL Biochem has been invited to participate in Tyco Supplier Trade Fair on 15th July 2005 at Pudong Shangri-la Hotel. Technical Review Meeting  July 2005

A Technical Review Meeting organized by Zhenjiang Science and Technology Bureau was held on 10th July 2005 in Danyang , Jiangsu. GL Biochem (Shanghai) Ltd manufacturing facility at Danyang, Jiangsu province was inspected by a team of experts led by Professor Dai and other members from Chinese Academy of Sciences,Danyang Municipal Secretary General, Danyang Municipal Mayor, Head of Zhenjiang Science and Technology Bureau and Director of Danyang Science and Technology Bureau. They have given us a thumb-up for our effort in setting industry standards for the manufacturing of peptide reagents and custom peptide synthesis in China.

A major progress on the chemical synthesis of Daptomycin Dec 17,2004  
We are pleased to announce that our Chief Technology Officer, Dr Xu Hongyan and his team of researchers have successfully completed the first chemical synthesis of Daptomycin. Daptomcyin has been previously obtained through extraction from by-products during fermentation process. Daptomycin, a cyclic lipopeptide is widely considered a new and powerful antibiotic for clinical use. FDA has also expedited the approval process for its public use during end of 2003. And it is first time ever such peptide has been synthesized chemically and with this success it has given a new meaning for the use of this peptide from scientific viewpoint and commercial standpoint. R&D Funding From China Government: Dec 10, 2004 WE, GL Biochem (Shanghai) Ltd is pleased to announce that we have been awarded RMB 900,000 yuan under the China Government's Innovation Fund for SME Technology Firm on 10th December 2004. Management team from Merck USA and Merck Japan has visited GL Biochem (Shanghai) on the 7th April 2004.The guests have been given a guided tour of our facility in SIOC and Pudong, Shanghai. With this visit, we believed that Merck being one of the largest Pharmaceutical Company in the world will have now a better understanding of our strength and capability to meet their requirement. 12^th March 2004 Boehringer Ingelheim looking for Business Cooperation Opportunity with GL Biochem  March, 2004
On 12th March 2004, a group of visitors from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma KG as well as local Boehringer Ingelheim's Procurement Office were invited by GL Biochem to visit our Laboratory and Production sites in Shanghai. Latest Technology Highlight  March, 2004
In another technology milestone, GL Biochem ( Shanghai ) Ltd has successfully completed a scientific project on the new technology for the production of Eptifibatide under Pudong Talent Fund Programme. On March 2004, several experts in this field including Dr Guo Li-He are invited to assess this project and they have unanimously given this project a very high level of recommendation.
